Did You Know?

There are an estimated 450,000 kilometres of resource roads in B.C.?  That’s the same distance as about 56 Trans-Canada Highways.

B.C.'s expansive network of resource roads is shared by a number of different users. These roads are used to access and transport timber, minerals, and petroleum resources. Resource roads lead to ski hills, fishing lodges, hunting camps and are used by other commercial operators. They also serve as crucial links for rural communities and recreation areas.
