The Roundtable was established by the provincial government to identify key
issues and opportunities facing the forest sector in British Columbia. The
Roundtable has now released its final report and recommendations to ensure a
strong, vibrant, sustainable forest industry in British Columbia for future
generations.

The Working Roundtable on Forestry has regular meetings. Summaries of the
working meetings are below:

The Roundtable considered key questions about forestry products and markets,
costs structures and capital investment, stumpage, and tenure in its work to
develop a forward-looking plan for the forest sector.
Roundtable members traveled to communities
around B.C. to hear from key local stakeholders. Summaries of those meetings
from 2008 are below:

About 250 individuals, companies and organizations provided submissions to
the Working Roundtable on Forestry.
