Instructions for accessing secure Ministry of Forests web sites

Depending on the browser you are using, when you are logging on to a secure Ministry of Forests web site you will be prompted for your User Name, Password and Domain with a screen that has either two or three fields to enter.

Format for logging on - two field security prompt

In a two field security prompt, enter your Domain (BCEID or IDIR) followed by a backslash then your User Name. The slash must be a backslash ‘\’, not a forward slash ‘/’.

Enter your password, remembering that passwords are case sensitive.

Note: The above figure shows a person logging on with a BCeID account, IDIR users should enter "idir\username" in the user name field.

Format for logging on - three field security prompt

In a three field security prompt, enter your User Name, Password then your Domain (BCEID or IDIR).

Enter your password, remembering that passwords are case sensitive.

If you are still unable to logon

BCeID user instructions

If you are using an BCeID please try the following:

  • You may need to change your initial password before logging on to the site for the first time, Click Here.
  • Passwords are case sensitive, ensure the Caps Lock is off.
  • Passwords expire every two years, if it has been longer than two years since you last changed your password Click Here.
  • If you have entered your password incorrectly more than six times your account will be locked out; your company's Business Accounts Manager can have it unlocked.
  • If you have forgotten your password your company's Business Accounts Manager can have it reset or Click Here.
  • You may have entered your User Name, Domain and Password incorrectly see above.

IDIR user instructions

If you are using an IDIR ID, please try the following:

  • Passwords are case sensitive, ensure the Caps Lock is off.
  • Passwords expire every 60 days, if it has been longer than 60 days since you last changed your password Click Here.
  • If you entered your password incorrectly more than six times your account will be locked out; your local office systems/security contact can request it be unlocked.
  • You may have entered your User Name, Domain and Password incorrectly see above.
