ECAS30 - Reference Information

  1. At least one timber mark must exist
  2. For each timber mark, there must be Timber Mark Cruise Volume
  3. If TSB is filled in, TSA must be filled in
  4. Appraisal Type must be filled in
    1. Submit: If appraisal is BCTS or Appraisal Type = ReAppraisal, Appraisal Effective Date must be filled in.
    2. Sent to Region, Send with Issue, Transfer to GAS: Appraisal Effective Date must be filled in.
  5. Rate Calculation Method must be filled in
  6. At least one species must exist
  7. For each species, there must be Volume > 0 unless it is Primary Timber Mark
  8. Total Merchantable Area must be filled in
  9. At Least one "Area Logged" must be entered.
  10. The Effective Date/Expiry Date combination must not overlap any other appraisal with the same timber_mark found in the app_worksheet table. app_worksheet is all the appraisals found within GAS.
  11. Major Centre and Distance must be filled in if the appraisal effective date >= 2004-02-29 and < 2006-06-01
  12. Major Centre and Distance must be blank if the appraisal effective date < 2004-02-29
  13. Second Growth Conifer Volume must be <= Total Conifer Volume

ECAS33 - Tree to Truck

  1. At least one logging system must exist (Cable Yarding, Ground Systems, Skyline >600m, Land Drop, Water Drop or Single Stem for appraisals effective >= 2004-02-29; Cable Yarding, Ground Systems, Land Drop, Water Drop or Single Stem for appraisals effective < 2004-02-29)
  2. The sum of all logging systems must = Total Net Cruise Volume.
  3. Average Haul Distance must be filled in
  4. Point of Appraisal and Point of Origin must be filled in
  5. If 2nd Point of Origin is filled in, Point of Origin must exist
  6. Routine Road Maintenance must be filled in
  7. Basic Silviculture required must be filled in
  8. Is the Cutting Permit Accessible must be filled in
  9. The volume for each logging system must equal the total volume for that logging system on the Cutting Authority Details screen (ECAS41).
  10. If appraisal effective date is on or after 2007-06-01 then CP Vol / Log must be filled in.

ECAS34 - Specified Operations

  1. If Description is filled in for Specified Operations, Rate must be filled in
  2. Each description may only be entered once for Specified Operations

ECAS35- Bridges

  1. If Bridges exist, Bridge type, Crib Height, Span Length and Crown Portion percent must be filled in
  2. Bridge Road Name and Start Station / End Station must be unique

ECAS36 - Culverts

  1. If Metal Culvert exist, Diameter, Total Length for Diameter, Crown Portion percent must be filled in
  2. Each Diameter can only be used once
  3. If Wooden Culvert exist, Number and Crown Portion percent and Unit cost must be filled in
  4. Each Number /Appraisal Year combination must be unique

ECAS37 - Tabular Roads

  1. If Tabular Roads exist, and appraisal effective date < 2006-12-01, Road Name, Section Length, Construction Category, Crown % must be filled in
  2. If Tabular Roads exist, and appraisal effective date >= 2006-12-01, Road Name, Section Length, Bank Height Category, Crown % must be filled in
  3. Each Road Name /Start Station/End Station combination must be unique.

ECAS40 -Detailed Engineering

  1. If New Construction exists, Cost Estimate Identifier, Total Length of Road, Crown Portion % and Total Cost must be filled in
  2. Each Cost Estimate Identifier must be unique for New Construction (ignore RR and EH records)
  3. If Reconstruction and Replacement exists, Cost Estimate Applicable Attachment #, Total Length of Road, Crown Portion % and Total Cost must be filled in
  4. Each Cost estimate Applicable Attachment # must be unique for Reconstruction and Replacement

ECAS41 -Cutting Authority Details

  1. Major Center and Distance must be filled in if the appraisal effective date >= 2006-06-01
  2. Appraisal Log Dump must be filled in if the appraisal effective date >= 2006-06-01
  3. Other Log Dump description must be filled in if the appraisal effective date >= 2006-06-01 and Appraisal Log Dump = 'OTHR'

ECAS43 - Attachment

  1. Ensure that there are attachments for the Cruise Compilation
  2. Ensure that there are attachments for the Appraisal Map
  3. If any of the following Specified Operations exist on ECAS34 ensure there is a corresponding attachment:
    • A-frame Logging
    • Blowdown Timber
    • Single Tree Harvesting
    • Skyline Logging
    • Tree Crown Modification
    • Lake Transportation
    • Skidder Swing
    • Towing to Tie-up Grounds
    • Camp Move
    • Destumping for Root Disease Control
  4. If Culvert Worksheet attachment provided ensure a record exists in Culvert Cost table

ECAS32 - Control

  1. MVI Eligible must be filled in

  6. TOA must be set to "Y" if MPS = Y and SB indicator = N. Else Must be set to N

ECAS44 - Grade %

  1. At least one Species must exist
  2. Selling Price Zone must be filled in
  3. If Second Growth Indicator is true (from ECAS30), then Selling Price Zone must not be 51
  4. Sum of grades for each species must equal 100%
  5. Each species must have a Grade Source Level

ECAS43 - Attachments

  1. Ensure there is a Cruise Analysis Form.
  2. For Non-BCTS funded appraisals, ensure Tenure Information is provided.

  1. If Allocated Development exist, Identifier, Description, Trended Cost and Applicable Volume must be filled in

  6. BEC Zone and Subzone zone must be filled in.
  7. The combination of BEC zone, Sub Zone and Variant must exist in APP_BSILV_M3TBL
  8. Sum of Species Volume must be equal to the Total Net Cruise Volume
  9. At least one species must exist and it must be a coniferous species
  10. For each species, there must be Volume > 0
  11. For each species filled in, there must be LRF
  12. Support Centre must be filled in
  13. Distance to Support Centre must be > 0
  14. At least one Harvest Method must be filled in
  15. If any Partial Harvest Method is filled in, partial cut % must be > 0 and < 90
