A comprehensive technical critique of the Forest Service timber supply analysis was received from the Merritt Forest Licencees. Other technical input was received from the Ministry of Environment, Lands and Parks and the Interior Lumber Manufacturers' Association.
The technical critique submitted by the Merritt Forest Licencees reviews the Merritt Timber Supply Analysis Report , the Socio-Economic Analysis and the Discussion Paper. The Merritt Forest Licencees are of the opinion that the Forest Service analysis of the Merritt Timber Supply Area is conservative for the following reasons:
