One industry submission makes the following comments:
• the proposed allowable annual cut determination and the rationale statement should be released for public comment prior to final determination. This would allow misunderstandings and errors to be cleared up before the final determination
• the Forest Service must begin immediately to improve inventories and analytical tools to define resource management opportunities; the latter must be subject to public review prior to any further allowable annual cut determination
