The Quesnel Timber Supply Area is located in the Fraser Basin and the Interior Plateau, between the Coast Mountains on the west and the Cariboo Mountains on the east. West of the Fraser River, the flat to gently rolling plateau is dissected by the Blackwater River system. In the east, the Quesnel Highlands gradually rise to meet the Cariboo Mountains.
