Since 1993 when the data was prepared for the timber supply analysis, Forest Service staff have been collecting more information about some of the factors in the analysis. Also, tests completed during the timber supply analysis identified which factors had the greatest effect on the timber supply forecasts. These critical factors are discussed in this section.

The chief forester must carefully evaluate this information when assessing the allowable annual cut and identifying where improved information is needed. We encourage you to do the same. |
