In June 1992, a data package was prepared that described the current state of forest management within the Okanagan Timber Supply Area. This publicly reviewed data was then analyzed with a computer model and the results were put in the Okanagan TSA Timber Supply Analysis Report, November 1993 (Okanagan TSAR).
Two main areas were analyzed:
how current forest management practices affect the supply of wood available for harvesting over the next 200 years; and,
the potential changes in the timber supply stemming from uncertainties about forest growth and management actions.
