As the base case forecast indicates the current allowable annual cut may be maintained for 30 years, followed by a gradual decline, no immediate employment impacts are predicted. It is estimated that province-wide, total employment (including within the Lillooet Timber Supply Area) may fall by 1,057 person-years over 90 years as the timber supply declines to the long-term, sustainable level. This estimate is based on continuation of current practices and manufacturing processes. It is estimated that provincial government revenues may decline by about $9.0 million over the same period.
