On a provincial basis, it is estimated that timber harvested from the Invermere Timber Supply Area generates 1,431 person-years of employment, including 553 person-years within the timber supply area. This employment is estimated to generate $38.7 million in annual employment income. (SEA page 59)
Harvesting and processing timber from the Invermere Timber Supply Area is estimated to generate approximately $19.3 million in provincial revenue. These estimates include the increased stumpage revenues being generated to fund the Forest Renewal Plan. (SEA page 61)
