At the provincial level, it is estimated that an allowable annual cut of 240,000 cubic metres would support a total of 462 person-years of employment and contribute approximately $11.1 million in employment income. If the level increased to 640,000 cubic metres, it would support an estimated 1,232 person-years of employment and contribute $29.5 million in employment income (SEA page 39).
Provincial government revenues are projected to be $6.6 million with an allowable annual cut of 240,000 cubic metres. They would reach $17.5 million annually if the level was increased to 640,000 cubic metres. These estimates do not include expected increased stumpage revenues from the recently announced Forest Renewal Plan (SEA page 39).
