Maintaining the current allowable annual cut as in the base case forecast indicates a total of approximately 630 person-years of direct forest sector employment will be generated annually throughout the province, including the timber supply area, over the first 80 years, with $22.2 million in direct income (SEA page 58). This timber supply level would also support another 945 person-years of indirect and induced employment which generates another $25.4 million in income. Approximately $16 million in provincial government revenues would also be generated annually during the first 80 years. As noted earlier, these estimates do not include the impacts of the new Forest Renewal Plan.
