Since 1993 when the data was prepared for the timber supply analysis, Forest Service and Ministry of Environment, Lands and Parks staff have been collecting more information for some of the factors in the analysis. Also, tests completed during the timber supply analysis identified which factors had the greatest effect on the timber supply forecasts, particularly in the next 20 years. These critical factors are discussed in this section. Other factors in the analysis were tested and are discussed in the timber supply review report (TSAR pages 25-51) but were not considered critical to this review and, therefore, are not included in this discussion paper.
