Strathcona Timber
Supply Area (TSA) |

The Strathcona TSA is located on central Vancouver Island and
includes part of the adjacent mainland coast and associated islands. The
TSA includes the communities of Campbell River, Courtenay, Comox,
Cumberland, Gold River, Tahsis, Zeballos, Sayward and Kyuquot.
The Strathcona TSA is part of the
Coast Region and is
administered by the Campbell
River District.
Current Timber Supply Review (TSR)
The current allowable annual cut (AAC) for the Strathcona TSA is
1,217,000 cubic metres, effective August 1, 2005. This AAC will
remain in effect until a new AAC is determined, which must take place
within 10 years of this determination, unless postponed in accordance
with
Section 8(3.1) of the
Forest Act.
