 Revelstoke
Timber Supply Area
The Revelstoke TSA, located in the southeastern portion of B.C., covers 503,984
hectares. The TSA includes the community of Revelstoke.
The current allowable annual cut (AAC) for the Revelstoke TSA is
230,000 cubic metres, effective September 1, 2005. This AAC will
remain in effect until a new AAC is determined, which must take place
within five years of this determination, unless the re-determination
date is formally postponed according to the provisions of Section 8 of
the Forest Act.
Current Timber Supply Review
The third timber supply review (TSR 3) was initiated in 2002 and
was completed by the Ministry of Forests and Range. A key component of
the TSR is the preparation of a timber supply analysis.
In September 2004 the Revelstoke TSA Timber Supply Review Analysis
Report and Public Discussion Paper were released for public review.
The Chief Forester's rationale for AAC determination was released
on August 4, 2005.
A brief description and copies of the documents released for the
Revelstoke timber supply review can be found on the 'Documents'
site.
