Prince George Timber
Supply Area (TSA) |

The Prince George TSA located in the north–central interior of B.C.,
covers approximately 7.97 million hectares. The TSA includes the
City of Prince George and the communities of Vanderhoof and Fort St.
James, as well as several smaller communities such as Fraser Lake.
The Prince George TSA stretches from near the Alberta border in the southeast to Tweedsmuir
Provincial Park in the southwest and Spatsizi Plateau Wilderness Park in the northwest.
The Prince George timber supply area is part of the
Northern Interior Region
and is administered by the
Prince George District,
Vanderhoof District
and Fort St. James
District.
Current Timber Supply Review (TSR)
The current allowable annual cut (AAC) for the Prince George TSA is
12.5 million cubic metres, effective January 11, 2011.
This AAC will remain in effect until a new AAC is determined, which
must take place within 10 years of this determination, unless
postponed in accordance with Section 8(3.1) of the
Forest Act.
