The Okanagan timber supply area is administered by the Okanagan Shuswap District, located in Vernon, with field offices in Penticton and Salmon Arm.

Current Timber Supply Review (TSR)

The current allowable annual cut (AAC) for the Okanagan TSA is 3,375,000 cubic metres, effective January 1, 2006.  This AAC will remain in effect until a new AAC is determined, which must take place within 10 years of the date of the present determination, unless the re–determination date is formally postponed according to the provisions of Section 8 of the Forest Act.

Public input is a vital part of the timber supply review process.  A public discussion paper was released on
August 4, 2011.  Feedback is welcome on any aspect of this public discussion paper or any other issues related to the timber supply review for the Okanagan TSA.

Your comments will be accepted until October 21, 2011.
