North Coast Timber
Supply Area (TSA) |

The North Coast TSA is located in northwest British Columbia.
The North Coast TSA covers approximately
1.8 million hectares.
Communities within the TSA include the City of Prince Rupert, the
District of Port Edward, Dodge Cove, Port Simpson and the villages of
Gingolix, Lakalzap, Metlakatla, Oona River, Kitkatla, Hartley Bay and
Kitsault.
Current Timber Supply Review (TSR)
The current allowable annual cut (AAC) for the North Coast timber
supply area is 400,000 cubic metres, effective November 6, 2007.
This AAC reflects a new AAC of 494,000 cubic metres determined under
Section 8 of the
Forest Act, as well as a temporary reduction
of 94,000 cubic metres issued under Section 173 of the Forest Act.
