Merritt Timber
Supply Area (TSA) |

The Merritt TSA, located in the southwest interior of B.C.,
covers approximately 1.13 million hectares. The communities of Merritt
and Princeton are the largest in the Merritt TSA. Smaller communities
include Tulameen, Brookmere, Missezula Lake, Douglas Lake, Lower
Nicola, Osprey Lake and Allison Lake.
The Merritt TSA is part of the
Southern Interior Region
and is administered by the
Cascades District.
Current Timber Supply Review (TSR)
The current allowable annual cut (AAC) for the Merritt TSA is
2,400,000 cubic metres per year, effective December 2, 2010.
This AAC will remain in effect until a new AAC is determined which
must take place within 10 years of this determination, unless postponed
in accordance with Section 8(3.1) of the
Forest Act.
