Lakes Timber Supply Area (TSA)

The Lakes timber supply area (TSA) covers about 1.1 million hectares of land in north-central British Columbia, ranging from Tweedsmuir Provincial Park in the south to the Tildelsy watershed in the north.

The Lakes TSA includes the Village of Burns Lake, and smaller communities including Decker Lake,  François Lake, Grassy Plains, and Danskin.

The Lakes TSA is administered by the Nadina District office located in Burns Lake.

Current Timber Supply Review (TSR)

The current AAC for the Lakes TSA is 2,000,000 cubic metres, effective July 12, 2011.  This AAC will remain in effect until a new AAC is determined, which must take place within 10 years of this determination, unless postponed in accordance with Section 8(3.1) of the Forest Act.
