Fort Nelson Timber
Supply Area (TSA) |

The Fort Nelson TSA is situated in the northeast corner of B.C. It covers
approximately
9.8 million hectares and includes the communities of Prophet River, Fort
Nelson, Toad River and Muncho Lake. The Fort Nelson TSA is
administered by the Fort Nelson
District.
Current Timber Supply Review (TSR)
The current allowable annual cut (AAC) for the Fort Nelson TSA is 1,625,000 cubic metres, effective
November 10, 2006. This AAC will remain in effect until a new AAC
is determined, which must take place within 10 years of this
determination, unless the re-determination date is formally postponed
according to the provisions of Section 8 of the
Forest Act.
