Golden Timber
Supply Area (TSA) |

The Golden TSA straddles the Rocky Mountain Trench and the upper Columbia
River Valley northward to the Big Bend area near Mica Dam; and is
bounded to the west by the Selkirk and Purcell Mountains and the
Revelstoke TSA, to the north by the Robson Valley TSA, to the south
by the Invermere TSA, and to the east by the Rocky Mountains and the
province of Alberta.
Five national parks—Yoho, Banff, Jasper, Kootenay, and Glacier—and
the Hamber provincial park, border the TSA, and the Cummins
Provincial Park lies within its borders. The Golden TSA
is administered by the Selkirk District.
Current Timber Supply Review (TSR)
Effective
June 3, 2010, the new AAC for the Golden TSA will be 485,000 cubic metres. This AAC will
remain in effect until a new AAC is determined, which may take place
within 10 years of this determination.
