Parent Tree Genetic Quality

Use:  

This screen is used to add the test results for the genetic trait(s) that a Parent Tree has been tested for.  

 

Results:

New genetic quality results are added to SPAR or exiting genetic quality information is modified or deleted.

 

How to:

Add Genetic Quality Information for a Parent Tree:

  1. Select either Minister or Client in the Test Series Identification section.

  2. If "Client" was selected in #1 then enter the Test Agency.

  3. Enter the Local Test No. and Test Series No.

  4. The Additional Test Information section will be automatically populated.

  5. Any Parent Tree's which are included in the Local Test & Series will be displayed in the bottom portion of the form.

  6. Using the table (in the bottom portion of the form), set the default values for Area of Use, GQ Trait, GQ Type, Assessment Age, and Assessment Year.

  7. Enter the number of the Parent Tree used in this test in the first row.

  8. Enter the Breeding Value to correspond with the Parent Tree.

  9. Click the Save Button.

  10. The remaining fields in the row are automatically populated with the default values entered in #6 above.

  11. Return to the row and select whether or not the parent tree data is used in the Genetic Worth Calculation.

  12. Click the Save Button.

  13. If additional Parent Trees were used in this test, enter additional rows as required.

 

Modify Genetic Quality Information for a Parent Tree:

  1. Select either Minister or Client in the Test Series Identification section.

  2. If "Client" was selected in #1 then enter the Test Agency.

  3. Enter the Local Test No. and Test Series No.

  4. The Additional Test Information section will be automatically populated.

  5. Any Parent Tree's which are included in the Local Test & Series will be displayed in the bottom portion of the form.

  6. Scroll to the row you wish to modify and make any modifications you require or add a new row. (Note:  Clicking the "Add More Rows" button will add 10 blank rows to the bottom of the page.)

  7. Click the Save Button.

 

Delete Genetic Quality Information for a Parent Tree:

  1. Select either Minister or Client in the Test Series Identification section.

  2. If "Client" was selected in #1 then enter the Test Agency.

  3. Enter the Local Test No. and Test Series No.

  4. The Additional Test Information section will be automatically populated.

  5. Any Parent Tree's which are included in the Local Test & Series will be displayed in the bottom portion of the form.

  6. Scroll to the row you wish to delete and click the corresponding delete check-box on.

  7. Click the Save Button.
