SPAR Enhancements released in September 2006 
System
Upgrades
- SPAR
and all other MoFR web applications
were upgraded to WebADE version
4.0 in June 2006. Reports were upgraded
to Crystal 10. The security system
and method of granting access changed
to a new system - ADAM (Authority
Delegation And Management system).
New
Functionality
- Application
for Vegetative Lot Registration:
Vegetative Lot production facilities
are now able to register vegetative
lots online. The requirements for
vegetative lot registration in the
Chief Forester’s Standards for Seed
Use were included in the online
seedlot registration screen.
- Vegetative Lot Registration Parent
Tree Contribution screen:
Collections of improved vegetative
material from a production facility
now requires entry of the number
of clones (parent trees) contributing
to the lot.
- SMP Parent Tree Contribution screen:
For lots from seed orchards where
SMP (supplemental mass pollination)
has been applied, a new screen can
be used to calculate the breeding
value contribution of the SMP pollen.
- Sowing Guidelines:
Species has been added to the sowing
rule table to allow species such
as Pli grown in open compounds to
have reduced sowing rules – refer
to 2007
Sowing Guidelines
- Seedling Request Status for Vegetative
Lots:
Seedling requests are now updated
to COM (complete) status for vegetative
lots.
Screen
layout changes
- Vegetative
Lot Detail Screen:
The screen layout was revised for
Class A, B+ and B seedlots, with
distinct Source Information and
Area of Use sections.
Report
improvements
- Detail
Report:
Layout was revised with a new Area
of Use History section.
- Vegetative Lot Report:
Layout was revised to look more
like the Seedlot Short Form Report.
