Road Layout and Design

The information prepared for the previous schedules (FS1178 and others), is no longer road layout and design content required by the Forest Road Regulation as of December 17, 2002 and as recently amended on August 5, 2003.

Those previous forms were developed to capture information for submission to the district manager for approval, which is generally no longer the case. The limited content of the Forest Road Regulation in section 5, and the three situations described in section 5.1 (2) when approval is still required, is the only mandatory content requirement for a road layout and design.

The above noted changes to the Forest Road Regulation are paralleled in the Woodlot Licence Forest Management Regulation. Please see the following for more information:
