The Provincial FRPA Implementation Team (PFIT) reports to the Interagency Joint Steering Committee and has Tim Sheldan (ADM, Operations Division, MoFR) as its Executive Sponsor. It includes representatives from the Ministry of Environment; the Integrated Land Management Bureau and the Ministry of Forests and Range, key team members from the MoFR’s Legislation Policy Committee, BC Timber Sales, the Forest Practices Board, industry and professional associations.

The objective of the Provincial FRPA Implementation Team (PFIT) is to develop and lead an overall implementation strategy which focus on the following:

  • Promoting provincial consistency in interpretation and application in an effective and timely manner

  • Providing leadership provincially as a team with a wide diversity of interests by identifying, in a proactive manner, issues, solutions and actions that assist our clients in implementing FRPA.

This website has been developed as a key resource tool for all those interested in FRPA Implementation. It provides the latest operational  tools and advice developed through PFIT and others to promote the successful implementation of FRPA. Also included on this site are links to other key web sites.

It is hoped that, as this web site evolves, you will continue to  use it to access important information regarding FRPA and PFIT's proposed plans for supporting the implementation of FRPA.
