Self-registration in Engineering Equipment and Services (EES) Directory

All equipment suppliers who wish to have their equipment considered for hire, and all consulting firms that wish to provide professional and technical services, for road engineering activities within Operations Division, Revenue and Tenures Division, or BC Timber Sales must be registered in the Engineering Equipment and Services (EES) directory.

Interested equipment suppliers and professional and technical consultants must self-register online in the EES directory by completing the following steps:

Step 1: (Information only)
1a) For Equipment Suppliers, review the Self-registration Instructions to Equipment Suppliers or

1b) For Professional and Technical Services Consultants, review the Self-registration Instructions to Professional and Technical Services Consultants .

Step 2:  Follow these BC Bid Registration Instructions
The BC Bid logon page is: http://www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca/open.dll/welcome

You'll need the Secret Code shown at the top of a letter being mailed out in late May 2007 to connect to your information currently registered.

NOTE:
Equipment suppliers and consultants must annually review and update their EES registration data as early in the calendar year as possible. An electronic reminder will be sent once each year.

Prior to being hired for work by BC Timber Sales:

Equipment operators and services consultants must meet requirements of the Environmental Management System (EMS).  For more information about EMS training and registration, please see Chapter 9 of the "BC Timber Sales, Environmental Management System Manual" at http://www.for.gov.bc.ca/ftp/TSK/external/!publish/EMS2/Manual/EMS_Manual.pdf

AND

Equipment operators and services consultants must be either;

  • Certified in the BC Forest Safety Council SAFE Company Program; or
  • Endorsed by BC Forest Safety Council as new entrants to the industry, or
  • Certified under another safety scheme recognized by BC Forest Safety Council or BC Timber Sales,
