E.P. 370 - Partial Cutting in the Columbia Forest Zone.
- Objectives:
- To measure the response, in terms of growth and species composition, of a complex stand to a number of different methods of selecting trees for a partial cut.
- This experiment was established in 1957 in a mid-seral, fire-origin stand, on an ICHmw2/04 site, northwest of Nakusp in the Arrow Forest District. Four treatments were tested including: an improvement cut, a diameter-limit cut, a salvage cut, and an untreated control. Each treatment was replicated five times using a randomized complete-block design. The permanent sample plots have been measured every five years over the life of the experiment.
