    http://www.for.gov.bc.ca/hre/projects/projects/1123.htm
The Long Term Soil Productivity (LTSP) study in BC was initiated in 1991 to determine how soil compaction and organic matter removal affect soil processes and site productivity. In BC, three fully replicated LTSP installations now exist and a fourth complete set of replicates is currently being installed. There are three replicate blocks in the Sub-boreal Spruce (SBS) biogeoclimatic zone with one replicate each near Topley, Prince George, and Williams Lake. The site in the Boreal White and Black Spruce (BWBS) biogeoclimatic zone is in the Dawson Creek Forest District. The fully installed Interior Douglas-fir (IDF) site is near Kamloops and the IDF site currently being installed on calcareous soil is in the Invermere Forest District. In the Interior Cedar Hemlock (ICH), two sites are being installed to compare to a site in northern Idaho that is part of the big American LTSP project. ...
