The Breeding and Genetic Resources of Five-Needle Pines
Abstract Guidelines
All abstracts must be written in English and submitted electronically as a Microsoft Word document and must conform to the following guidelines:
- Paper size: Letter (22 cm x 28 cm);
- Margins 2.5 cm on all sides;
- Font: Times New Roman 12 pt;
- Length: all text (title, authors and affiliations, and body of abstract) must fit on one page (approximately 500 words);
- Title and authors names centered and capitalize first letter in each word. The title and the author's name making the presentation should be bold;
- Body of abstract should be single spaced and fully justified (aligned on left and right side).
The abstracts must be emailed as an attachment (Microsoft Word document) to Ioan Blada (ioan_blada@yahoo.com) and Lesley McKnight (Lesley.McKnight@gov.bc.ca) by June 30, 2006.
Please indicate together with the abstract the thematic area to which your contribution belongs. You should also indicate whether you prefer to present: oral presentation, 15-20 minutes long (including 3-5 minutes for discussion); poster presentation, posters should be prepared to occupy a space not exceeding 90 by 120 cm (portrait).
Guidelines for Manuscripts
The paper format and citations must comply with the published Proceedings of the Medford, Oregon, 2001 Conference. (See: www.fs.fed.us/rm/pubs/rmrs_p032.html).
The authors must bring the full papers to the Conference Registration Desk, in both printed and electronic format (one CD or two floppy disks). The Proceedings will include copies of the presented papers, abstracts of posters and the list of participants. The preferred deadline for submission of manuscripts is September 18, i.e. at the start of the Conference.
Speaker Information
To present a paper or a poster you must submit an abstract by June 30, 2006. See guidelines for posters and papers for details.
Oral Presenters
- E-mail or fax your short bio to Lesley.McKnight@gov.bc.ca and Violeta Tiron office@icas.ro.
- Paper submissions should be handed in to the registration desk on a CD or two floppy disks. Please name the presentation with your last name and the first two words of the title of the paper.
- Papers should be formatted as recommended in the guidelines for manuscripts and abstracts.
- All oral presentations will be in Microsoft PowerPoint, only.
