MGM version 2001B released in December 2001 after extensive revisions to both user interface and basic relationships:

  • Localization features for Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan.
  • Modified Stands and Crop Plans workbooks.

MGM version 98E (experimental version) released in January 18, 1999 includes the following enhancements:

  • user interface has been completely redesigned to reflect user feedback.
  • the help has been enhanced and examples have been clarified.
  • it links growth and mortality relationships to site index
  • it simulates juvenile stands (<1.3m height)
  • it simulates harvest, thinning and partial cutting during the growth simulation
  • it regenerates a stand following cutting
  • it can thin immediately after the stand is established
  • it can analyze multiple stands.
  • modifications to height and diameter growth functions for spruce, pine, and aspen
  • expanded Help file
  • ability to change the name of crop plans database workbook See the MGM Menu (Set CropPlanDBName…)

 MGM Version 97 released in May, 1997 included the following upgrades:

  • Completely redesigned Microsoft Excel user interface.
  • Preliminary linkage of growth and mortality relationships to site index.
  • Simulation of juvenile (<1.3m height) stands.
  • Harvesting, thinning and partial cutting during the growth simulation.
  • Regeneration of stand following cutting.
  • Analysis of multiple stands.
  • Improved setup procedure.
