Each combination replicated 5 times for a total of 100 experimental units

root collar diameter
diameter at breast height
height
soil temperature and soil moisture

Sites:

Menzies Bay Hybrid Poplar Plantation

Major Findings:

Trees treated with Arbortec mats had a greater root collar diameter (rcd) than trees treated with Tredegar mats (Table 1.).

In general, rcd increased with increasing mat size (cm² ) for both mat types.
