EcoGen - Predictive Ecosystem Mapping

A predictive ecosystem mapping tool that uses available geographic and inventory data to map BC's biogeoclimatic ecosystem classification units.

Description

EcoNGen is a program that is designed to produce Predictive Ecosystem Mapping output. It predicts an ecosystem classification for records in a database using information in a knowledge table.

System Requirements

EcoNGen requires a 32-bit Microsoft Windows platform (Windows 95/98 or NT) and the Microsoft Access database software. The program has been written and tested in conjunction with Microsoft Access 97. We do not recommend using the software with earlier or later versions of Microsoft Access.

Installation

After downloading unzip the files into a temporary directory and run Setup.exe. If you are using WinZip press the Install button. Follow the installation instructions.

Documentation and Sample Database

The installation program will place:

a User's Guide (Adobe Acrobat pdf format) in C:\Program Files\MOF Research\EcoNGen 1.0\docs
a sample database in C:\Program Files\MOF Research\EcoNGen 1.0\data

Users of the software do so at their own risk, and the MOF is not liable for the use of or the inability to use the software. It is the responsibility of the user to verify the correctness of any data generated by this program. MOF owns all rights, title and interest, including but not limited to copyright, patent, trade secret, and all other intellectual property rights in this software.
