The Influence of Range Practices on Waterborne Disease Organisms in Surface Water of British Columbia

Contents Menu Giardia The objective of this problem analysis was to provide a review of the current state of knowledge of the influence and interactions of range practices on waterborne diseases and prioritize a list of research and extension activities.
The project included:
  • a compilation and summary of literature pertaining to the influence and interactions of range activities on the incidence of waterborne disease
  • a documentation of case histories where range activities were involved or implicated in the incidence of waterborne diseases in BC
  • interviews of key individuals to determine the information needs of staff dealing with waterborne diseases on Crown land
  • Cryptosporidium
