Water Quality |

Water is one of the crucial renewable resources originating from the Crown lands of BC. The potential for waterborne disease is a concern because of the high reliance on surface water supplies .
Range activities on Crown forests have been implicated in
waterborne disease contamination of community water supplies but the scientific understanding
of this relationship is not clear. The need for information on the impacts of range practices
on water quality is necessary because of sporadic outbreaks of cryptosporidiosis and giardiasis
in BC.
