INSTALLING THE GROWTH AND YIELD COMPUTER BASED TRAINING PACKAGE

             
    1.0) Downloading the files:

        1.1) Create two new temporary directories on your C drive: 
             \GYCBT95
             \QTIME

        1.2) The Growth and Yield CBT can be downloaded from the web site
             now.
        
    2.0)  Unzipping:

        2.1) The software used to decompress these files is PKWARE's PKUNZIP
             v2.04g for DOS.  Make sure the program PKUNZIP.EXE is available
             via the PATH, or put a copy of this file into each of the two
             new subdirectories.
             
        2.2) Use the following commands in DOS:

                c:
                cd \gycbt95
                pkunzip gycbt95
                cd \qtime
                pkunzip -d qtime

             Please note the '-d' option in the second decompress to ensure
             subdirectors are created correctly.

    3.0)  Installing/Setting up:

        3.1) Within WINDOWS install the CBT as follows:

                a) Start Windows Program Manager
                b) From the File menu, choose Run
                c) Type c:\gycbt95\setup and press Enter

        3.2) Within WINDOWS install the Quick Time software as follows:
                
                a) Start Windows Program Manager
                b) From the File menu, choose Run
                c) Type c:\qtime\setup and press Enter
                d) Choose full installation
                e) Choose "skip" in the dialogue about replacing earlier
                   versions

     4.0)  Using the CBT:

        4.1) Within the Windows Program Manager organize the icons from
             the CBT and Quick Time to your preferences.  Go to the Growth
             and Yield program group and double click the Growth and Yield
             icon to start the CBT.

        4.2) Enjoy!
