VPro (VENUS Professional)
VPro is the BEC program's software for managing the provinces ecosystem plot data and ecosystem classification. It allow users to manipulate, summarize, and analyze data in hierarchical classifications. VPRO is developed and managed by the Ministry of Forests, Research Branch and is freeware.
VENUS/GRAVITI
VENUS and GRAVITI are "stand-alone"data entry and standard reporting tools for ecological data collected on the FS882 Ecosystem Field forms and FS212-2 Ground Inspection form. Both are designed to allow contractors to meet contract requirements for Terrestrial Ecosystem Mapping (TEM) projects. These programs are managed by the Ministry of Environment and are freeware.
PC-ORD
PC-ORD is proprietory software for multivariate statistical analysis of ecological communities on PC-compatibles. VPRO exports data in PC-Ord format.
