The project used a methodology known as Collaborative Landscape Analysis (Transactions in GIS 5(1): 67-86) that relies on stakeholders to identify the issues to be addressed by the project. That is done through an iterative series of workshops. The detailed minutes and a summary of an initial scoping workshop (Fall 2003) are provided.
