• The Association of Professional Biologists of British Columbia grants the Meritorious Service Award to Andy MacKinnon, for valuable service on the Board of Directors and to the activities of the association.

• The Graphic Designers of Canada grants a top award for poster design to Carole Leadem for the poster "Secret Life of Tree Seeds".
