Invasive Alien Plant Program (IAPP)- Application Training
The Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations (FLNRO), in partnership with the Invasive Species Council of BC and Regional Weed Committees around the province, will continue to offer free, one-day workshops that will focus on:
- correctly gathering data in the field,
- correctly entering data for various activity record types,
- returning the desired information to you by running the right extracts,
- gaining optimum benefit from using Map Display
If a plant identification section is desired, and someone is available locally to provide this, that can also be included into the agenda.

IAPP Application Training in your Area
Since 2008, training has been delivered in dozens of locations around the procince. Free IAPP training workshops will continue to be delivered on request, in cooperation with the ISCBC and local weed committees. To qualify for a free workshop, a minimum of 10 participants must be registered; in order to receive quality training with adequate attention for everyone, these sessions are limited to a maximum of 20 participants.
For 2012, our IAPP training modules are being revised in order to deliver a more hands-on experience for participants.
If you wish to organize or attend an IAPP training session, contact the ISC, your local Weed Committee (see links below), or email the MFLNRO trainer directly to enquire about available times in your area.
