This Phase of the SDLC is to
prepare for and carry out the implementation of the developed system through
user and acceptance testing to a full production system.
As this Phase
covers all of Implementation, it includes an additional gate to ensure that
the application receives the signoffs to move to production. Once the
application is in Production, Project Management monitoring and control are
continued, support activities are begun and potentially additional training,
if applicable. If maintenance is required, this is planned and managed as a
new release.
