Data Dictionaries

A data dictionary enables you to look up definitions for the data used in shared ministry systems. This page contains descriptions and links to each available data dictionary.

Integrated Data Dictionary

The Integrated Data Dictionary (IDD) stores information about the shared data in our corporate relational database systems.

IDD has definitions for approximately 40 applications, 1,200 entities, and thousands of attributes.

Integrated Spatial Data Dictionary

The Integrated Spatial Data Dictionary (ISDD) stores information about spatial data (data, including information about where it resides geographically on the earth's surface).

ISDD has definitions for approximately 29 reference files (feature groups), over 1000 feature classes, 2700 feature components and 2300 IGDS specs.

Extended Data Dictionary

The Extended Data Dictionary (EDD) provides a place for any ministry staff member to publish data definitions for databases they have invented and documented. To be considered Extended Corporate data, the databases themselves must reside on a ministry corporate platform, such as a district LAN, i.e. not a personal computer.

EDD was discontinued in March 2007 after very little interest by business staff in using it to define their locally-defined information. Should interest kindle, EDD can be re-established (contact the Data Administration section).
