Conditions for Use of ISDD

Our preferred method for delivering spatial standards is via online lookup through the web.

The following conditions for use apply to those situations where the web is used to perform online lookups or searches of the Ministry of Forests' INCOSADA Spatial Data Dictionary's (ISDD's) contents. Use of any part of the data dictionary constitutes agreement with the following limitations, conditions, and expectations:

  • The Crown retains copyright (Copyright, Ministry of Forests, Province of British Columbia, 1998).
  • There are no rights expressed or implied.
  • The Ministry of Forests and the Province of British Columbia make no warranties and will not assume liability for any consequences resulting from the use of the information within ISDD.
  • The data [standards] contained within are provided as is, with no support offered or implied (except for Ministry of Forests staff members).
  • The underlying data structures within the data dictionary are, or may be, undergoing significant enhancements. Any software development based on the current data structures may be rendered unusable without significant reinvestment, should future releases change those data structures. The Ministry of Forests and the Province of British Columbia cannot be held liable for any such reinvestment.
