Seedling Sale Contract

FS 773
Seedling Purchase Contract

Purpose

The trading of seedlings between agencies is a standard practice allowing seedlings to be planted on the best available sites.

The Ministry of Forests has implemented the use of these one-page, multi-copy contracts that specifically indicate conditions of the sale or purchase of seedlings between funding sources.

Completion

The contracts will be filled out and signed by the purchaser and seller as per normal sales practices, and will provide contractual protection for both parties while ensuring that a fair market value for the seedlings is received by the seller.

Instructions for completing each form are found on the reverse side.

For complete details on sale and purchase procedures including current market price equivalents for all species and stock types refer to File: 18585-02, Memo Re: Seedling Trading Procedures July 1993.
