Sheep Vegetation Management Guidelines
4.0 Enforcement

4.1 Legal requirements

Proponents and contractors are expected to know and comply with all the legal requirements related to using sheep for vegetation management including the:
- Forest Practices Code of British Columbia Act
- Wildlife Act,
- Range Act,
- Forest Act,
- Animal Disease Control Act,
- Animal Welfare Act,
- Health of Animals Act,
- Weed Control Act,
- Municipal Act,
- Health Act,
- Highways Act,
- Waste Management Act,
Agricultural Waste Control Regulation, (includes Code of Agriculture Practice for Waste Management),
Water Act, and
other applicable legislation.

Sheep contractors should also refer to British Columbia Wildlife and Forest Practices Code Fact Sheets, available from MELP and Ministry of Forests offices, respectively, upon request.
