Over the past year, the ministry has received feedback on the draft report from many individuals, including participants in the industry, Forest Service staff and representatives from other jurisdictions. The present report incorporates these views, providing a comprehensive overview of the commercial harvest of more than 200 botanical forest products in British Columbia.
At present, the Ministry of Forests does not regulate harvesting of the vast majority of botanical forest products. This report reviews the botanical forest product industry and presents recommendations for managing the industry in British Columbia.
