CHASE – The Adams Lake Indian Band will receive $1.7 million and access

VICTORIA – Provincial roads and highways in the Cariboo are being
upgraded as part of the $29.7 million that is being invested in local
transportation projects this year. Included in the list of projects are

number of logging trucks carrying pine beetle-killed wood.

Comments Invited on Williams Lake Timber Supply Review
VICTORIA – The Ministry of Forests and Range is inviting public comment
as part of a review of the Williams Lake timber supply area. Responses
submitted by September 18, 2006 will be considered by the chief forester
to determine a new allowable annual cut later this fall. The review is
necessary because the mountain pine beetle continues to affect the
amount of timber available for harvest.
