(1) - Diseases other than foliage diseases are very difficult to accurately map using aerial overview style surveys.  The totals presented here are not an accurate depiction of dwarf mistletoe and root disease incidence in the province.  More accurate data is obtained using ground surveys.

As in previous years, approximately 73% of the forested land base was surveyed.  Areas not flown were portions of the Mackenzie, Dawson Creek, Mid-Coast and Cassiar areas due to weather and resource constraints.  Portions of the southern Prince George Forest District were flown very late in the season due to resource constraints and poor flying weather.

(2) Fire data was collected by the overview survey and augmented, where available, with data provided by MFR Protection Branch.
