Forest Region
(1) - Diseases other than foliage diseases are
very difficult to accurately map using aerial overview style surveys. The totals
presented here are not an accurate depiction of dwarf mistletoe and root disease incidence
in the province. More accurate data is obtained using ground surveys.
As in previous years, nearly
all of the province was surveyed with the exceptions of portions of the
Mid-Coast, Cassiar and Sunshine Coast due to weather and resource
constraints.
(2) Fire data was
collected by the overview survey and augmented, where available, with data
provided by MOFR Protection Branch.
